Hello! Welcome to the homepage of the Rocky Mountain Hemophilia
& Bleeding Disorders Association.
RMH&BDA is a nonprofit consumer advocacy and service
organization founded in May of 2000 to meet the vast education
and support needs of the bleeding disorders community in Montana
and Wyoming.
Our mission is: "To improve the quality of care and life
for persons with inherited bleeding disorders, including hemophilia
and von Willebrand Disease, through education, peer support,
resource and referral."
RMH&BDA provides educational materials by publishing
a quarterly newsletter and disseminating information on inherited
bleeding disorders and their complications to consumers, health
care providers, and the public. The organization also maintains
a library of brochures, books, articles, videos, audio tapes,
and contact information for other bleeding disorders contacts,
such as the National Hemophilia Foundation.
RMH&BDA provides peer support by sponsoring an annual
family camp for affected individuals and their families, assisting
families in getting to their nearest satellite clinic held
annually by the Mountain States Regional Hemophilia and Thrombosis
Center (MSRHTC), hosting lunches on those clinic days, and
striving to build up the patient assistance fund to aid families
in medical crisis.
RMH&BDA provides resources and referrals by gathering
and maintaining listings for specialized hemophilia care and
emergency clotting factory acquisition, sponsoring youth to
hemophilia camps, financial reimbursement guidance, and supporting
comprehensive bleeding disorders care in Montana and Wyoming.
Enjoy your time on our site! We welcome your questions,
comments, and concerns and look forward to continuing to grow
in the number of individuals that RMH&BDA serves!
